How can I receive the backordered "ACCESSING THE PUBLISHED PENNSYLVANIA ARCHIVES ONLINE" DearMYRTLE little book you referred to in your email? I must have missed something and I have a lot of PA ancestors. This sounds like it could be most useful. Thanks & have a great weekend!

The "little book" you are referring to explains (with screen shots) the step-by-step process for accessing the scanned images of the Published Pennsylvania Archives (PPA) online for FREE at www.iArchives.com. If you are comfortable figuring it out on your own, you won't need the little book. If you need a little help from ol' Myrt here, then the little book might be just what you need in one hand, while mouse-clicking with the other. The book includes a unique feature -- a comparison between:

the series/volumes that comprise the book version of the PPA
which series/volumes are available free at iArchives.com (every word searchable.)
which series/volumes are indexed through a membership database at Ancestry.com

The PPA is a large series of official State of Pennsylvania published reference books useful to genealogists with ancestors residing in Pennsylvania. In many cases the referenced documents are no longer available. This monumental transcription work may be all the evidence one can find of an early Pennsylvania ancestor’s military service, naturalization, baptism or land ownership.
