READERS' FEEDBACK: Listening to
DearMYRTLE's test promo spot
DearREADERS,
There has been a lot of enthusiasm for the upcoming return of DearMYRTLE's
Family History Hour, for which I am most thankful! It's a lot of work to produce
each show, but it is also my honor to interview genealogy experts from around
the world. Hopefully I will ask them the questions you want answered. Three
themes are coming through in your email responses:
include:
-- It works!
-- Listen anytime
-- Saving files for future use

IT WORKS! & LISTEN ANYTIME
--------------------------------------------------------
From: Thomas Allen tallen@rushmore.com
DearMYRTLE,
I tried the test site at OurMedia:
http://www.ourmedia.org/user/33644/track
and it worked great! Is the Family History Hour "taped" and they we are able to
listen to it at anytime after it is broadcast on Tuesday?
NOTE FROM MYRT: YES, each show is "taped" and you will be able to listen to
it anytime after it is uploaded to:
http://www.ourmedia.org/user/33644/track on Tuesday. Since OurMedia.org
promises unlimited library size and bandwidth, I expect to keep all the shows
there. Detailed descriptions of guests/topics will accompany each file in the
library, so you can pick & choose if you wish to review a show, now that you
have interest in the topic.

SAVING FILES FOR FUTURE USE
--------------------------------------------------------
From: gypsy97@bellsouth.net
DearMYRTLE,
I can reach it and play the promo. The thing I haven't been able to do is to
download anything. Is that something that will be available shortly? I don't
mind having to manually download, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I'll get
there because it looks to be so darn interesting and helpful that I can't let it
go!
DearMARTHA,
If you want to actually save (download the file to your computer) so you can
listen without being on the internet, you may:
-- use the PodCast method
-- use the "right-click" method
Both methods are described at:

Happy family tree climbing!
Myrt :)
